Toasted Bruschetta
To create this vegan take on an Italian classic, start with a simple base of vegan french bread. Slice the bread into rounds, and place them under a broiler to toast until browned. If you’re short on time, this step can easily be replaced with your favorite cracker or pita chip.
Peel a raw clove of garlic and gently spread it across the surface of the toasted bread. Though not necessary, this step adds a kick of flavor and heat, making for more memorable hors d’oeuvres. Drizzle a light layer of extra virgin olive oil over the surface.
