Buffalo Cauliflower Wings Recipe

Small, bite-sized, and easily snackable, these vegan buffalo cauliflower wings are the ideal addition to any party, reception, or intimate gathering. By baking these wings and sticking to natural, vegan ingredients, you can ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and fulfilled.
Ingredients:
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of dried onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 cup of oat milk
- 1/2 cup of vegan hot sauce
- 3 tablespoons of vegan butter
- 1 small lemon
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your kitchen space. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, and then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Next, cut the cauliflower into florets. Start by removing the leaves from the bottom of the cauliflower head, and cutting the stump off. Use an incredibly sharp chef’s knife to cut the cauliflower head into quarters. From here, you can use your hands to easily pull apart the florets from the center, using a paring knife to help as necessary.
- Combine the flour, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Add the oat milk, stirring until there are no lumps and the mixture is consistent with a pancake batter.
- Using a pair of tongs, toss the cauliflower florets into the mixture until they are fully covered. Before placing each floret onto the baking sheet, use the tongs to let them “drip-dry” for a few seconds, gently shaking off any excess batter. Otherwise, the cauliflower wings will come out gummy.
- Spread the wings evenly across the baking sheet, and allow them to bake for around 25 minutes.
- As the “wings” bake, prepare the buffalo sauce. Melt the vegan butter using either a microwave or a saucepan over low heat. Add the hot sauce to the melted butter.
- Juice the lemon and slowly stir it into the buffalo sauce, one spoonful at a time. Taste the sauce as you go, adjusting the proportions as necessary.
- Remove the cauliflower wings from the oven and brush them with vegan buffalo sauce. Place the baking tray back into the oven and bake the wings for an additional ten minutes.
- Once the buffalo wings have reached your chosen consistency, enjoy! We suggest serving these wings alongside a side of extra sauce for dipping. For a more sophisticated appearance, arrange the wings on a platter, surrounded by a gorgeous display of fresh veggies!
